Leigh Broschat, MS, LMT, NCMT

Leigh Broschat is a 1981 graduate of the Atlanta School of Massage, nationally certified in therapeutic massage and neuromuscular therapies and licensed in the state of Georgia. She has a B.S. in Mental Health and Human Services from Georgia State University and received specialized training through the Georgia Council on Child Abuse. She has been working in psychotherapy settings since 1990, and is a professional member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). She teaches ethics and business courses to massage students.

Leigh incorporates awareness of each individual's personal process into her therapeutic massage. Her work facilitates heightened consciousness through touch and verbal communication. This special focus is beneficial for people who have experienced emotional and physical pain, and want assistance towards a path of healing and health.

Leigh has co-developed the "containment framework", a model used by massage therapists & psychotherapists when working with people who have experienced trauma. Leigh's containment framework, information gathering process, and verbal pain dialog are designed for people in psychotherapy. Leigh enjoys giving massage for relaxation, stress reduction, and support for your physical therapy or chiropractic care. Her skills include use of neuromuscular and myofascial techniques for addressing the postural and chronic pain issues, and Swedish massage for deep relaxation.

Leigh has a Masters of Science in Human Resources Management & Development. She is available to speak in local and national organizations on the topics of chronic pain, stress management, and the containment framework. Leigh is also available to provide her on-site chair and table therapeutic massage services for conference attendees and presenters locally, nationally and internationally.
