Regular body work helps dancers and musicians perform with greater ease and fewer aches and pains. You can enjoy new found comfortable endurance through massage therapy! Personally, I plan to dance until I am 90+ years of age.
Massage for Performing Artists
My passion for dancing has inspired a very specific area of study: Health for Performing Artists. I am combining my 20+ years of massage therapy and neuromuscular care (derived from Dr. Janet Travell’s Myofascial Pain & Dysfunction texts) with direct feedback from seasoned performers and specific journal literature.
Identify Proper Ergonomics
I assist professional performers by examining and identifying proper ergonomics and applying manual therapy for freedom from pesky chronic pains that accompany specific repetitive movements.
Open Up Creative Access and Clear Blocks
I feel and understand the importance of keeping our physical bodies, emotional bodies, cognitive and spiritual selves open and clear. Keeping our “vessel clear” gives rise to “aha” and “wow” moments.
Facilitator of Life Energy
Discussions with fellow artists have given rise to the understanding that bodywork can facilitate and encourage creative life energy. This specific style of bodywork encompasses complex understanding of anatomy and physiology, NMT, Swedish massage techniques and myofascial techniques along with Reiki energy support. People report more freedom with their physical bodies and an energetic boost afterwards.
Your Private Therapist for Special Projects
The launch of new recording projects, performance projects and life changing chapters requires additional support. I want to be a member of your support team. I am highly selective and take time to interview and discuss and offer a trial session to determine if this work plays a positive facilitative role for you.
Supportive Environments (Physical and Energetic)
The people we spend time with, how we our spend time and what we think about impacts us. Three days each week I work in a Five Star Environment. People EXPECT the best from one another. I’ve noticed an increase in dedication to my craft as a facilitator and to the people I work with. I have a passion for what I do and the dedication keeps enhancing as I grow, learn and do.
